You Can Get Home Loan Modification Help Even if You’re Unemployed
The foreclosure crisis has birthed a lot of new programs to help homeowners who are facing foreclosure. At perhaps no other time in history have homeowners had more options to help them hang on to their homes. It used to be that if you were unemployed and behind on your mortgage payments, there was no help available, and you were on your way to be foreclosed on.
This is not true today. If you’re a homeowner facing foreclosure, you may still qualify for a loan modification, even if you’re unemployed.
Under the Obama administration’s Making Homes Affordable Program, “borrowers who are unemployed can receive a loan modification provided they show eligibility for at least nine months of unemployment benefits.”
If you’re unemployed, find out if you qualify for a mortgage modification under the Making Homes Affordable program. Learn more about this program in the video below.
