Was your home foreclosed on in 2009 or 2010? You may have money coming. The Reuters article, Regulators extend foreclosure review timetable, explains, stating:
Homeowners — whether they lost their homes or are still in them — can ask [independent] consultants to review their cases . . . If the review finds there were problems with a foreclosure that resulted in financial harm to a homeowner then that homeowner will be eligible for compensation.
This was part of the foreclosure deal 5 big banks worked out with federal bank regulators recently.

Following are some quick facts you need to know if your home was foreclosed on in 2009 or 2010 and you want to take action.
Deadline to Take Action: July 31, 2012 (extensed from April 30th).
Compensation Amount: Unknown as of Yet
How to Proceed: Watch your mail your local newspaper and listen to your local news to find out what to do. According to the agreement, lenders and regulators are alerting millions of homeowners who are eligible via these methods. It’s one of the reasons the deadline for taking action has been extended — to give homeowners time to become aware and then proceed.
