In a separate article on the same day, Foreclosures hitting more people with prime loans, the paper noted:

About 4 million homeowners were either in foreclosure or at least three months behind on their mortgage payments as of September [2009], according to the mortgage bankers group.

And in yet another article, Foreclosures will keep rising through 2010, report says, on Nov 20, the LA Times noted:

Mortgage Bankers Assn. says delinquencies and home repossessions have hit a new high. Blaming job losses for most of the pain, it sees a continued surge in foreclosures through all of next year.
